Multi-skilled Operative

We require a Multi-skilled Operative who can safely operate mobile plant eg forklift trucks, wheeled loading shovels, materials handler and fixed plant eg balers, wrappers, screening and shredding equipment. Industrial cleaning of mechanical separation equipment and mobile plant will also be part of the role.

Successful applicants must be able to work to health and safety and environmental standards as they apply to the process, and co-operate with site management. The ability to work in a team based environment and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation is also required.

A recognised license or qualification eg CITB, CPCS, EPIC, NVQ or proof of experience is essential, as is a demonstrable period of mobile plant operating with one or more of the following; loading shovels, fork lift trucks, materials handler, cherry picker/scissor lift, or other industrial equipment. Experience of working in a production environment and feeding screening or similar processing plant would be advantageous.

The role will involve working an average of 42 hours per week on a 12 hour shift pattern of 4-on and 4-off from 06:00-18:00.
